About Pavé Engagement Rings
What does “pavé” mean?
Pavé (French for “paved”) refers to a band set with many small accent diamonds, packed tightly so the metal appears “paved” with sparkle. The effect is a continuous shimmer along the band that complements the center stone.
Are pavé diamonds durable?
Yes — our pavé settings use micro-prongs or shared-prong settings that lock each stone securely. With normal wear, accent stones rarely come loose. Lifetime inspection and cleaning is included with every Tessera ring.
Can the pavé wrap all the way around?
Yes. We offer half-pavé (diamonds along the top of the band only — easier to resize) and full-pavé (diamonds all the way around — maximum sparkle). The choice usually comes down to comfort preference and budget.
